Concept Of Fluid Pump
The pump is a type of machine that functions to move liquid from one place to another. The liquid for example are water, oil or lubricants, and other fluid that is not capable of compressible.
Working Principle of Fluid Pump
The pump shaft rotates when drive spinning. Because the pump shaft rotating impeller with blades rotating, liquid substances contained in it will also rotate so that the pressure and speed up and thrown out of the middle pump to drain spiral and then out through the nozzle.
Classification of Pump
1. Centrifugal Pumps
The working principle of this type of pump is the energy on the leaf fan pump
on the basis of bending the fluid flow. Capacity in produced by a centrifugal pump is proportional to the rotation, while total head (pressure) is proportional with the square of the speed of rotation.

2. Positive Displacement Pumps
Characteristics of the positive displacement pump periodic changes in the contents of the room apart from the suction and the press is separated by a part of pump. Capacity generated by the pump pressure is proportional to the speed of movement or the speed of rotation, while the total head (pressure) generated by the pump is not dependent on the speed of rotation. there are two types of positive displacement namely: oscillating pump, and rotary displacement pumps. Example oscillating pump: piston / plunger pumps, diaphragm pumps. Examples of rotary displacement pump: rotary pump, eccentric spiral pumps, gear pumps, vane pumps and others.
3. Jet Pumps
The characteristics of the jets pump is a plunger to lift fluid from great depths. The change in pressure of the nozzle caused by the flow of liquid or gas that is used to bring the liquid to the top ( principle of ejector). This pump has no moving parts and its construction is very simple. The effectiveness and efficiency of these pumps are very limited.
