Generator is a machine that
converts mechanical energy into power electricity. Mechanical energy is used to
rotate the coil wires in the magnetic field
the coils or rotating magnet between wire conductor. Mechanical energy
can be derived from thermal power, the potential energy of water,diesel motors,
gasoline engines and some even come from the electric motor.

An alternating current generator is used to generate power. When the coil rotates at a constant speed in a magnetic field, the electromotance on the coil will changes. In direct current generator,
rectification is done mechanically with using a device called a commutator.
Commutator in principle has the same form as the drag ring, the ring only
halved and then reassembled using an insulating material.
